Broken City Movie Quotes
"Broken City" movie quotes tell the story of what happens when one seemingly good cop gets caught up in joining in on the dirty work of one corrupt mayor. The crime drama was written by Brian Tucker and directed by Allen Hughes of the Hughes brothers. 20th Century Fox released "Broken City" in the United States on January 18, 2013.

In "Broken City," former hero police officer Billy Taggart (Mark Wahlberg) is called into the office of the New York City Mayor Nicholas Hostetler (Russell Crowe) to receive an unexpected proposition. The mayor knows of Billy's work and wants to hire him to spy on his adulterous wife, Emily Barlow (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Billy thinks this is a pretty simple task and agrees.

Later on however when people start turning up dead, Billy realizes that the work he is actually doing is part of a much bigger and uglier plan. When Billy starts asking questions, the mayor reveals his insurance policy, as in a means to blackmail Billy if he does not comply. Comply Billy does not and instead launches a full-on war against the mayor.

"Broken City" joins the winter 2012-13 movie season which is already jam-packed with hits like "Django Unchained," "Killing Them Softly," "Hitchcock," "Skyfall," "Lincoln," "Flight," "Playing for Keeps," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Anna Karenina," "This Must Be the Place," "Cloud Atlas," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Nobody Walks," "The Sessions," "Red Dawn," "Chasing Mavericks," "Rise of the Guardians," "Argo," and "Looper."
