Heaven Is for Real Movie Quotes
"Heaven is for Real" brings the best selling book of the same name to the big screen in this Christian drama film. Written by Chris Parker, the film is an adaptation of the novel by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. Directed by Randall Wallace, "Heaven is for Real" opened in theaters just in time for Easter, on April 16, 2014. The film has many memorable quotes, listed here and ranked by viewers.

In "Heaven is for Real," following an emergency surgery, which doctors did not expect him to survive, four-year-old boy Colton Burpo (Connor Corum) shares with his family that during the time he was in surgery, he visited heaven. At first, his parents, pastor Todd Burpo (Greg Kinnear) and wife Sonja (Kelly Reilly) are hesitant to believe him but Colton seems to know details that he couldn't possibly know if his story was made up.

Specifically, Colton mentions meeting a sister, who died during a miscarriage Sonja suffered, and his great grandfather, who died 30 years before Colton was ever born, neither of which Colton had previously known about. Unable to deny what they are experiencing, the family shares news of this miracle with others in town, something that has mixed results.

"Heaven is for Real" hits theaters alongside other great films such as "Transcendence," "A Haunted House 2," "Draft Day," "Under the Skin," "Dom Hemingway," "Joe," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Sabotage," "Noah," "Blood Ties," the "Veronica Mars" movie, "Need for Speed," "Mr. Peabody and Sherman," "300: Rise of an Empire," "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "Cheap Thrills," "Monuments Men," "Winter's Tale," "RoboCop (2014), "About Last Night," "Vampire Academy," "The Lego Movie," "Gimme Shelter," "I, Frankenstein," "Ride Along," and "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit."
Heaven Is for Real Movie Quotes,

In Heaven
Colton: "Mommy"
Sonja: "Yes, Colton"
Colton: "Did you know I have a sister?"
Sonja: "You didn't know that Cassie's your sister?"
Colton: "No, I have two sisters. You had a baby die in your tummy, didn't you?"
Sonja: "Honey, who told you I had a baby die in my tummy?"
Colton: "In heaven, this little girl came up to me. She told me she died in your tummy."

Normally when a child Colton's age starts talking crazy, few take notice. But in this case, when Colton mentions things that are both true and that he couldn't have known otherwise, Sonja is intrigued.
He Saw Things That I Can't Really Explain
Dr. Charlotte Slater: "Your son had a near-death experience."
Todd: "He saw things that I can't really explain."

Todd seeks the help of Dr. Slater to try to make sense of what Colton is saying. Todd can't believe it, but he is witnessing it and that is hard to deny.
Sometimes He Says Weird Things
Cassie: "Is something wrong with Colton?"
Todd: "Why do you say that?"
Cassie: "Sometimes he says weird things."

Cassie, Colton's sister, wonders what's going on with her younger sibling. She knows he says strange things but isn't sure if something else is going on.
They Were Making Fun of Colton
Todd: "Honey, did you punch a kid in the nose?"
Cassie: "They were making fun of Colton."
Colton: "Cassie going to get a spanking?"
Todd: "Heck no, she's going to teach you to hit without hurting your knuckles."

When Todd hears that Cassie punched a boy at school and was doing so for defending her very special brother, he sees no reason for a punishment, more an opportunity to teach Colton how to fight.
That's Pop
Colton: "I have been here."
Todd: "I don't think we've been here before, pal."
Colton: "You had a grandpa named Pop, right?"
Todd: "He died when I was about your age."
Colton: "He's very nice."
Todd: "You saw my grandfather? Where did you see him?"
Colton: "In heaven"

Todd: "Is this him? Is this the man you saw?"
Colton: "In heaven, everybody's young."

Todd: "Is this him?"
Colton: "Yeah, that's him. That's Pop."

When Colton talks about meeting Todd's grandfather, someone who died 30 years before Colton was born, Todd is more than intrigued. Todd now believes what Colton is saying about his time in heaven.
I Lifted Up and I Looked Down
Colton: "I lifted up and I looked down. Mom was in one room. You were in another room yelling at god."

Colton explains what he claims to have seen while he was in emergency surgery. Despite having no chance of seeing what he did, Colton knows what was happening.
Do You Think My Son Went to Heaven?
Nancy Rawling: "Do you think my son went to heaven?"
Colton: "You don't have to worry. He told me everything was all right."

Nancy seeks out Colton to hear from her soldier son, who recently passed away. Colton assures her that he is doing well and that she should not worry.
He's Making a Difference
Todd: "He's making a difference. Haven't we already had a glimpse of something? The first cry of a baby, the courage of a friend, the love of a mother, a father. I see it, so I believe it."

Regardless of whether or not he truly believes what Colton is saying actually happened, Todd points out how he is seeing positives come from this situation. People are coming together around each other and that's something he can believe in.
I Want to Believe Him
Todd: "I want to believe him but everything he talks about is impossible."

Todd expresses the internal struggle he has with believing what his son says. Todd knows it's impossible but it's hard not to believe.
We All Want to Be Supportive
Jay Wilkins: "We all want to be supportive but we can't have our town turned into a circus."

Jay tries to reason with the family, telling him that the community supports them but that their situation is getting a little out of control.

Jersey Boys Movie Quotes
"Jersey Boys" movie quotes bring the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical to the big screen in a film adaptation. The story, which tells the background of the Four Seasons, was adapted from the musical by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Clint Eastwood directed the musical biographical drama which opened in theaters on June 20, 2014.

In "Jersey Boys," the story of the musical singing group The Four Seasons is told by the four members, Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young), Bob Gaudio (Eric Bergen), Tommy DeVito (Vincent Piazza) and Nick Massi (Michael Lomenda). Each takes turns telling their version of the events, both good and bad.

From their early beginnings to coming together as a foursome and discovering their signature voice while singing under a street light to when fame led the members into trouble, including turning to Mafia boss Gyp DeCarlo (Christopher Walken) for help, all of their adventures are told as the four guys from New Jersey leave the projects and find their voices in the spotlight.

"Jersey Boys" is just one of several early summer 2014 movies including "Think Like a Man Too," "22 Jump Street, "How to Train Your Dragon 2," "Hellion," "The Rover," The Fault in Our Stars," "Edge of Tomorrow," "A Million Ways to Die in the West," "Maleficent," "Night Moves," "Filth," "Blended," "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "The Immigrant," "The Love Punch, "The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, "Million Dollar Arm," "Godzilla," "Palo Alto," and "Chef."
Jersey Boys Movie Quotes,

We Make a Partnership
Bob Gaudio: "Well, you've got the voice. I've got the songs. We make a partnership."

Bob urges Frankie to partner with him, and him only. Needless to say, the other two guys in the Four Seasons are not excited by this move, which could fracture their group.
Tommy's in a Little Trouble
Nick Massi: "Tommy's in a little trouble."
Gyp DeCarlo: "Why isn't he standing here?"

Gyp is called in to help when Tommy gets in some trouble. While a Mafia boss might not be the best choice to help, he can get Tommy out of his jam… for a price.
I'm Going to Be As Big As Sinatra
Mary Delgado: "With friends like that, you should change your name to Sinatra."
Frankie Valli: "I'm going to be as big as Sinatra."

Frankie tells Mary that someday he will be very, very famous. She doesn't really believe him, but it doesn't take long before he proves that right.
You Want to Hear the Real Story?
Tommy DeVito: "You want to hear the real story? I'm the one you want to talk to, Tommy DeVito. If it wasn't for me, we all would have wound up with a bullet in our head."

All of the members of the Four Seasons get their turn at telling their story and in this case, it's Tommy's turn. He sees himself as the man who kept them all out of trouble, or at least, somewhat out of trouble.
Four Guys Under a Street Lamp
Frankie Valli: "I asked him what was the high point. The four guys under a street lamp, the first time we made that sound, our sound. That was the best."

In Frankie's turn to tell the story of the Jersey Boys, he explains the moment that sticks out the most for him. For Frankie, that moment was when he heard their signature sound for the first time.
The World Is Going to Hear This Voice
Gyp DeCarlo: "Frankie, the world is going to hear this voice."

Mafia boss Gyp DeCarlo encourages Frankie to pursue his singing career. Gyp has always looked out for Frankie and even helped him out of more than a few bad situations.
You've Got a Little Success Now
Norm Waxman: "You've got a little success now, the records, the TV, the personal appearances…"

Norm Waxman remarks on the success of the Four Seasons. They've reached the big time and are right on the bubble where things can start to go awry if they are not careful.
I Need to Write for This Voice
Bob Gaudio: "I heard 'em all but I had never heard a voice like Frankie Valli's. I know I need to write for this voice."

In Bob's version of their story, it was he who took Frankie from the streets to the big stages. He was the songwriter and knew instantly that he needed to write for Frankie's voice.

Boyhood Movie Quotes
"Boyhood" movie quotes follow the life of one young boy as he grows into a man. The film, which was filmed over the course of 12 years to show the natural aging of the characters, was written, directed and produced by Richard Linklater starting in 2002. "Boyhood" opened in theaters on July 11, 2014.

In "Boyhood," the life of Mason Jr. (Ellar Coltrane) is highlighted as he journeys from first through 12th grade and on into adulthood. Along with his sister, Samantha (Lorelei Linklater), the kids deal with everyday life as they grow up, including the pressures of dealing with divorced parents in mother Olivia (Patricia Arquette) and father Mason Sr. (Ethan Hawke).

The natural growth of all of the characters are shown bit by bit using footage filmed a little each year during the 12-year span. Mason Jr. goes from being a wide-eyed young boy and grows into a man and somewhere along the line enters adulthood, while his family members around him grow in other ways, all on film.

"Boyhood" comes with critical acclaim as it opens in theaters alongside "Planes: Fire & Rescue," "Sex Tape," "Wish I Was Here, "And So It Goes, "Dawn of Planet of the Apes," "A Long Way Down," "Tammy," "Earth to Echo," "Deliver Us from Evil," "Transformers: Age of Extinction," "Snowpiercer," "Begin Again," "They Came Together," "Think Like a Man Too," "22 Jump Street, "How to Train Your Dragon 2," "Hellion," "The Rover," and The Fault in Our Stars."

Olivia: "Why don't you say goodbye to that little horses*** attitude because we're not taking that in the car."
Mason Jr.: "Goodbye, old lady who rides a motorcycle."

The kids, Samantha especially, is not happy that mother Olivia is forcing them to move. As a kid, leaving your school, your friends, to move to a new city is not easy.
How Was Your Week?
Mason Sr.: "Talk to me! Samantha, how was your week? 'I don't know, dad. It was kind of tough. Billy and Ellen broke up and Ellen's kind of mad at me cause she saw me talking to Billy in the cafeteria and you remember that sculpture I was working on? Well, it was a unicorn and the horn broke off and so now it's a zebra but I still think I'm going to get an A.' Mason, uh, how was your week? 'Well, dad, you know, it was kind of tough. Joey's kind of a jerk, actually. He stole some cigarettes form his mom and he wanted me to smoke them but I said no because I knew what a hard time you had quitting smoking.' How about that? Is that so hard?"
Samantha: "Dad, these questions are kind of hard to answer."
Mason Sr.: "What is so hard to answer about what sculpture you are making?"
Samantha: "It's abstract."
Mason Sr.: "Okay, okay, that's good. See, I didn't know that. I didn't even know you were interested in abstract art."
Samantha: "I'm not. They make us do it."
Mason Jr.: "But, dad, why is it all on us though? Why don't you? How was your week? Who do you hang out with? With your girlfriend? What have you been up to?"
Mason Sr.: "I see your point. So we should just let it happen more natural? That's what you're saying? Okay, that's what we'll do, starting now."

Mason Sr. tries desperately to connect with his kids to hear about what's happening in their lives. But as his kids point out, perhaps he's going about it a little too much and should let things just happen naturally.
What Do You Want to Be, Mason?

Mason Jr.: "Wish I could use the bumpers!"
Mason Sr.: "You don't want the bumpers. Life doesn't give you bumpers."

Mason Sr. turns a bowling outing into a life lesson moment with son Mason Jr. When the boy asks for bumpers, dad reminds him that life is hard so he should get used to it.
Have You Been Drinking?
Olivia: "Have you been drinking?"
Mason Jr.: "A little bit"
Olivia: "Oh"

Mom Olivia is startled when son Mason Jr. comes home having been partying a little. She's clearly not prepared that her little boy is growing up.
Be Cool Like I Used to Be
Mason Sr.: "When you get older you can save up and buy a car of your own, be cool like I used to be."

Mason Sr. tries to bond with son, Mason Jr., during a car ride by reminiscing about when he was young and cool. Like all boys of his age, Mason Jr. wants a car of his own but it doesn't sound like dad is going to buy him one.

Wendy Altman: "Cause you may have emptied them over the years. My room was next to yours. My room was next to yours."

She Slept with My Boss
Penny: "Judd Altman, oh my god!"
Judd Altman: "Is that Penny?"

Anyway, what's it been, seven, eight, nine years?"
Judd Altman: "Something like that, yeah"
Penny: "Horry said you came alone. What happened to Quinn? You guys didn't split up, did you?"
Judd Altman: "Uh uh, that's a freak accident on an elliptical."
Penny: "Oh, I'm sorry, I don't know what I'm saying. It's these god damn anti-depressants I'm on. You know, they just obliterate whatever filter I have. That's very embarrassing."
Judd Altman: "She left me."
Penny: "I knew it! I totally knew that! I mean, I'm sorry."
Judd Altman: "She slept with my boss. So…"
Penny: "Well that will do it!"
Judd Altman: "Yes, it did."
Penny: "Done"
Judd Altman: "Right"

Wendy Altman: "She's mom, you know. She asked me how much to tip the nurses."

Flight Movie Quotes
"Flight" movie quotes follow the twists and turns of the mystery drama film from Academy Award-winner Robert Zemeckis. "Flight" tells the tale of an airline pilot whose miraculous heroics saved many lives but personal issues put his efforts into jeopardy. The film, given a November 2, 2012, release date in the United States, earned critical praise after its debut at the 2012 New York Film Festival.

In "Flight," Denzel Washington portrays Captain "Whip" Whitaker, a troubled yet highly skilled pilot. A routine short flight turns into terror when the plane he's flying falls apart in midair. Using an unconventional maneuver, Captain Whitaker amazingly lands the plane rather than crashing it into a residential area. He and numerous passengers survive and Whip becomes an American hero.

But the instant celebrity that comes with his heroics comes at a price for Whip as he's constantly under the microscope of the press and the country. Things only get worse when it's revealed that Whip had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. Even though experts agree that a mechanical malfunction was the cause of the crash, Captain Whitaker still must deal with trying to defend himself against charges that could land him in prison. Don Cheadle, John Goodman, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo and Garcelle Beauvais co-star in the stellar ensemble cast.

According to critics, "Flight" is sure to get some attention from the Oscars as awards season approaches. It will face some stiff competition with other movies also hungry for recognition including "Cloud Atlas," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Nobody Walks," "The Sessions," "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D," "Chasing Mavericks," "Alex Cross," "Smashed," "Sinister," "Seven Psychopaths," "Argo," "Here Comes the Boom," "The Paperboy," "Taken 2," "Frankenweenie," "Butter," "Won't Back Down," and "Looper."

Captain Whitaker is confident in his flying skills and knows that he did something so many other pilot could not have. This only goes so far though as his legal battle continues.
Act of God
Hugh Lang: "This was an act of god."

Captain Whitaker: "Whose god would do this?"

Attorney Hugh Lang tries to comfort Captain Whitaker when he is collapsing under the pressure of the controversy surrounding the crash but for Whip, trying to understand how this all happened is mind-boggling.

Dope Movie Quotes
Dope movie quotes tell the story of a high school student from Inglewood, California, whose life is temporarily knocked off course en route to Harvard. The comedy-drama was written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa. With Forest Whitaker, Pharrell Williams and Sean Combs among the producers, Dope opened in theaters on June 19, 2015.

In Dope, Malcolm (Shameik Moore) is a straight-A student in a portion of Inglewood, California, known as the Bottoms. He is applying to Harvard and for his application, he makes a video where he introduces himself along with his two closest friends, Jib (Tony Revolori) and Diggy (Kiersey Clemons), the three of which play in a punk band.

While Malcolm is focused on college and his love of 90s rap music, his life is temporarily derailed after a visit to a drug dealer's (A$AP Rocky) party to impress a girl (Zoe Kravitz) sends him and his friends (including Blake Anderson) on a journey to sell a backpack full of drugs. While the adventure is quite out of the ordinary for Malcolm and his geeky bunch, it will surely make a good story should he need something outrageous for his college application.

Dope opens alongside other great summer 2015 films including Inside Out, Jurassic World, Love & Mercy, and Entourage.
Dope Movie Quotes,

William Ian Sherwood
Narrator: William Ian Sherwood the third, musician, scholar, rake, entrepreneur, conspiracy theorist. Malcolm, Jib and Diggy met William at band camp three years ago.
...
William: Yo, you n****s need some weed? I got you. Good s***, fair prices.
...
Narrator: William assured them that he used the word n**** only as a term of endearment as explained by Q-Tip in the classic song "Sucka Nigga." After that, they all hit it off, though, he never used that word again.

The Narrator introduces William, a friend of Malcolm, Job and Diggy. While they are a unique group of friends, somehow they all fit together.
You Think You're Going to Get Into Harvard?
Malcolm: If Neil deGrasse Tyson were writing about Ice Cube, this is what it would look like.
Mr. Bailey: You go to high school in Inglewood. You think you're going to get into Harvard?
Malcolm: I'm from a poor, crime-filled neighborhood, raised by a single mother, don't know my dad, blah, blah. It's cliche.

Malcolm tries his best to explain to Mr. Bailer just how cliche is it that he wants to go to Harvard, but also that he has the accomplishments and intelligence to do so. Mr. Bailey is not so sure.
My Name is Malcolm Arakanbe
Malcolm: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Malcolm Arakanbe. I'm a straight-A student with nearly perfect SAT scores. I play in a punk band with my friends and I'm a 90s hip hop geek. A bad day for most geeks would be being the butt of jokes but when you live in the Bottoms, a bad day could look like this.

In a video, Malcolm introduces himself to the public. He explains a little about his academics, his friends, interests and what a bad looks like in a day in his life.
What I Left in Your Backpack
Dom: Yo, McFly, do you have what I left in the backpack?
Jib: Did he actually say, I'll kill you and your friends if you don't get rid of these drugs' or just you? Don't act like you weren't curious too.
Diggy: All we gotta do is find the white people, go to Coachella, Lollapalooza.

The friends learn that Dom has planted drugs in Malcolm's backpack and is forcing them to sell them. They know nothing about drug dealing, but know they need to find some rich white folks to buy them.
Photogenic Brains
Dom: He's probably got one of those photogenic brains.
Malcolm: You mean photographic memory?
Dom: What I just say?
Malcolm: I mean, yeah, you just said it, reiterating.

When Malcolm tries to correct thug Dom, he wasn't quite ready for the response Dom gives him back. Malcolm tries to slyly come out of the conversation not looking like a fool, but that doesn't go well either.
Malcolm Lives in Inglewood
Narrator: Malcolm lives in Inglewood, California, in the Darby-Dixon neighborhood referred to as the Bottoms.
Jib: Give me your bike!
Narrator: Malcolm's friends Jib and Diggy are also geeks.
Jib: All I wanna do is a zoom, zoom, zoom and a boom boom.
Malcolm: Word.

The Narrator introduces the main characters of the film, Malcolm, Jib and Diggy. They all like to ride bikes around their hood and, like most high school boys, are extremely interested in the ladies.
We Know Nothing About Drugs
Malcolm: We don't know nothing about drugs. You do. We need to know if you're going to help us.
William: Okay
...
Malcolm: Nobody's going to suspect a thing. We're just doing what geeks do.
Jib: I don't want to go to jail. I want to go to college!

With no idea how to move drugs, the friends reach out to William for some help. Luckily, William is ready to help them sell drugs, whether Jib wants to or not.
We're Not Going to a Drug Dealer's Birthday Party
Malcolm: I have my Harvard interview tomorrow. We're not going to a drug dealer's birthday party.
...
Nakia: Well, I'll go if you go.
Malcolm: Um
Nakia: So are you going to ask me to dance or what?

When it's suggested that they attend a birthday party of a drug dealer, Malcolm shuts the idea down, citing his big Harvard interview the next day. But when pretty girl Nakia mentions wanting to go, Malcolm's priorities change.
A Slippery Slope
Malcolm: We were dancing, man.
Dom: If I let this slide, we got what you call a slippery slope. Do you know what a slippery slop is?
Crip: Do it got anything to do with skiing?
Dom: Sit your ass down!

Dom interrupts a dance between Malcolm and Nakia, claiming possession of Nakia. This soon turns into a vocabulary lesson with his buddies.
You Want to Come In?
Jaleel: Yo, Lilu, what are you doing opening the door butt ass naked for? Excuse my dumbass sister, man. What up?
Malcolm: Are you AJ?
Jaleel: No, that's my dad.
Malcolm: I need to speak to him. It's about boys' club.
Jaleel: Right, right, well, my dad's at his office for like a couple hours but y'all could hang out here until he gets back if you want.
Malcolm: We, um, you know...
Jaleel: Hey, you want to come in?
Malcolm: Yeah, yeah
Jaleel: Come in

Looking for AJ, Malcolm and friends come upon Jaleel and Lily. Seeing that AJ is not around and Lily is going through various stages of undress, they take the opportunity to stay for a while.

Maps to the Stars Movie Quotes
Maps to the Stars movie quotes tell the satirical tale of a washed up actress who hires the daughter of a highly dysfunctional Hollywood family. The drama was written by Bruce Wagner and directed by David Cronenberg. Maps to the Stars first premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival before an American theatrical release on February 27, 2015.

In Maps to the Stars, aging actress Havana Segrand (Julianne Moore), hoping to break out of the shadow of her late mother, Clarice Taggart (Sarah Gadon), who famously died in a fire, looks to revive her career by taking a role in a remake of her mother's film playing the same character. She discusses this opportunity with television psychologist Dr. Stafford Weiss (John Cusack) and mentions to him that she's recently hired a new assistant, Agatha (Mia Wasikowska), who was also burned in a fire.

This interests Dr. Weiss, who, along with wife Christina (Olivia Williams), have an estranged daughter with the similar history. While Stafford and Christina try to control their teen son Benjie (Evan Bird), who just left rehab, they live in fear of Agatha's return to their lives after their horrific history together. Meanwhile, Havana continues to hallucinate her mother and begins a sexual relationship with Agatha's love interest, Jerome (Robert Pattinson), a move that only further disturbs the toxic relationship the characters have with one another.

Maps to the Stars brings a unique commentary on the entertainment world to the big screen as it opens alongside the likes of The Lazarus Effect, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, McFarland, USA, and Fifty Shades of Grey.
Maps to the Stars Movie Quotes,

Because of What You Did
Dr. Stafford Weiss: "I told you to stay away from us."
Cristina Weiss: "I was afraid, because of what you did."

Dr. Weiss and Christina confront Agatha about why she has returned to their lives after some time of estrangement. Christina reaffirms that Agatha is not welcome there, citing Agatha's past actions as the reason.
You Blame Yourself
Clarice Taggart: "You blame yourself for the night I burned, don't you?"

In a hallucination, Havana sees her late mother, Clarice. Havana has unresolved issues regarding her mother's death, which clearly are leading to disturbances to her mental state.
She Was Burned in a Fire
Havana Segrand: "I hired a girl. It's amazing."
Dr. Stafford Weiss: "Why is it amazing?"
Havana Segrand: "She was burned in a fire."

Havana explains to Dr. Weiss the unique connection she has to her new assistant, Agatha. Agatha was badly burned in a fire, similar to Havana's mother, who was killed in a fire.
I Think She May Be Back
Dr. Stafford Weiss: "I think she may be back. I don't know if she's dangerous."

Dr. Weiss explains to wife Christina and son Benjie that their broken and estranged daughter, Agatha, may have returned to their lives. The family didn't disburse on good terms, making Agatha's return potentially dangerous.
I Just Can't Take it Anymore, Jacob
Havana Segrand: "I thought that Gary Marshall was going to be there, that it was a meet. I didn't know that I was going to have to read and then they gave me the wrong drive on and I had to walk like a mile. I stank by the time I got there and then the casting director, who I know doesn't even acknowledge me, she just walks right by without saying a word and then she tells me that she doesn't even know if Gary knows I'm coming in. It's Gary Marshall, not Bartolucci. His movies don't make money anymore and I know Gary. And then says they want to put me on tape and I'm like 'excuse me, but you need special makeup for that or you look green' and she says, 'you can either tape or not' like it's all some pointless exercise and I just can't take it anymore, Jacob! I'm so tired and it's so pathetic."

Havana has a small meltdown after a poor experience at a casting. She feels entitled to a better experience than she received and is irate that she was treated so badly.
This Isn't a Very Glamorous Job
Havana Segrand: "This isn't a very glamorous job."
Agatha Weiss: "I would be the most loyal, the most competent, most grateful personal assistant you've ever had."

After being recommended by Carrie Fisher, who has a cameo playing herself, Agatha goes to work as the personal assistant to Havana. Agatha claims she will work very hard and truly needs the work so Havana agrees to take a chance on the girl.
Where'd You Come From?
Jerome Fontana: "Where'd you come in from?"
Agatha Weiss: "Jupiter"
Jerome Fontana: "Now that you're in tinseltown, what are you going to do?"

Agatha arrives in Los Angeles and sparks up a conversation with chauffeur Jerome. Agatha seems to have something off about her and that something goes way further than her visible burn scars.
Essentially Playing Your Mother
Dr. Stafford Weiss: "Your mother, of course, was Clarice Taggart, the wonderful actress who died tragically in a freak fire. What is it like starring in a remake of a movie and essentially playing your mother?"
Havana Segrand: "Scary"

TV psychologist Dr. Stafford Weiss interviews Havana regarding Havana's role in a remake of her late mother's movie, where Havana would play the same role her mother did. While the role itself isn't scary to her, but her lingering issues with her mother, including hallucinations of her mother, are the terrifying parts.
I Requested You
Havana Segrand: "I hope you don't mind that I requested you."

In a plot twist, Havana requests chauffeur Jarome to drive her then begins a sexual relationship with him. This complicates their relationships with her assistant, Agatha, who also has a romantic relationship with the driver.
What's So Cavalier About This?
Cristina Weiss: "What is she doing here?"
Dr. Stafford Weiss: "Maybe she's sightseeing"
Cristina Weiss: "What is so cavalier about this?"

Christina freaks out a little when she learns that estranged daughter Agatha is back in their lives. She doesn't understand why her husband, Stafford, isn't taking this more seriously.

Beasts of the Southern Wild Movie Quotes
"Beasts of the Southern Wild" movie quotes provide narrative to the fantasy drama film starring young actress Quvenzhane Wallis. Benh Zeitlin directed the film, which he co-wrote with Lucy Alibar based on Alibar's one-act play "Juicy and Delicious." "Beasts of the Southern Wild" was released on June 27, 2012, to critical acclaim and was nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Picture.

In "Beasts of the Southern Wild," Quvenzhane Wallis portrays Hushpuppy, a young girl in a small Southern Louisiana bayou town of Bathtub. Hushpuppy sees the world differently of most folks and is wise beyond her years, quite the difference from her custodial father, Wink. As a massive storm approaches, one destined to wipe out their tiny village, Hushpuppy and Wink remain vigilant and optimistic.

The storm comes and goes leaving the residents of the Bathtub to revert to their more primitive days for catching and eating meat and fish. Wink tries his best to give Hushpuppy the skills she will need to survive on her own as he realizes due to failing health, his time on this planet is coming to an end. Though all of the adversity, including not knowing her mother, Hushpuppy remains a strong and positive young girl who stays determined to do big things with her life.

While the performance from six-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis is one to be remembered, it is not the only one making a case for Oscar nominations. Other films who received looks included "Django Unchained," "Killing Them Softly," "Hitchcock," "Skyfall," "Lincoln," "Flight," "Playing for Keeps," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Anna Karenina," "This Must Be the Place," "Cloud Atlas," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Nobody Walks," "The Sessions," "Red Dawn," "Chasing Mavericks," "Rise of the Guardians," "Argo," and "Looper."
Beasts of the Southern Wild Movie Quotes,

Little Piece of a Big, Big Universe
Hushpuppy: "When it all goes quiet behind my eyes, I see everything that made me flying around in invisible pieces. I see that I'm a little piece of a big, big universe."

Hushpuppy sees the world much differently from most children her age. She doesn't focus on the here and now, she sees the bigger picture and where in that world she fits.
Aurochs
Miss Bathsheba: "This here is an auroch, a fierce creature. Y'all better learn how to survive."

Prior to the storm hitting, Hushpuppy's teacher, Miss Bathsheba, teaches the class about the ancient creature of the auroch. Once a ruthless prehistoric predator, the aurochs were trapped in frozen ice caps decades ago however the melting of those caps could lead to the release of the aurochs.
The Whole Universe
Hushpuppy: "The whole universe depends on everything fitting together just right. If one piece busts, even the smallest piece, the entire universe will get busted."

As Hushpuppy explains, everything in this world is connected. One small shift in the natural order of things might seem minor but that one change might have a ripple effect that can spread far and wide.
Marietta
Achilles: "Here's to Marietta, dude. Here's to Marietta!"
Wink: "You better leave that alone, man."
Achilles: "Oh come on, partner. That's to Marietta."
Wink: "Man, I'm telling you. You better leave that alone."
Achilles: "What's the matter, you couldn't handle her?"
Wink: "Keep on talking. You keep on talking."

In a casual poking of fun, Wink's friend Achilles rips on Wink about Hushpuppy's mother. Wink puts up with the prodding for a minute but soon grows tired of the abuse.
Hearts Beating
Hushpuppy: "All the time, everywhere, everything's hearts are beating and squirting and talking to each other in ways I can't understand. Most of the time they probably be saying, 'I'm hungry or I gotta poop' or sometimes they be talking in codes."

Hushpuppy takes in everything around her, the animal life, the plants, the people. She analyses what she sees, she reflects upon it and thinks about it in ways most other people do not.
Beast It
Jean Battiste: "Come here, Hushpuppy. Come sit by your uncle Jean here. Let me show you how to do this. Here, baby, don't be scared of it. Keep turning it upside down, there you go. Now push it with your thumb. Good girl. That's it. Now be real careful. Take your knife and pop this off. That's beautiful."
Wink: "No, that's not how you all eat it. Beast it! Beast it! Show me you can do it. Come on! Come on! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it! Beast it!"

With little resources, the people of Bathtub are forced to go back to their roots to eat and survive. In this instance, that means breaking open a crab with their hands and eating it, like a beast.
We Ain't Going Nowhere
Hushpuppy: "They think we all gonna drown down here but we ain't going nowhere. The Bathtub had more holidays than the rest of the world."

Stronger than men much older than her, Hushpuppy perseveres through the storm and is confident that her small village will do the same. Despite what the rest of the world might be saying, they are not going anywhere.
No Time to Sit Around Crying
Hushpuppy: "It wasn't no time to sit around crying like a bunch of babies. We're going to make a camp right on top of the Bathtub. We got enough animals to eat until the water goes down."

Even in the face of tragedy following the storm, Hushpuppy remains positive. She sees what they have, not what they've lost, and how they can overcome the adversity.
We Stay Right Here
Hushpuppy: "One day, the storm's gonna blow, the ground's gonna sink and the water's gonna rise up so high ain't gonna be no Bathtub, just a whole bunch of water… But me and my daddy, we stay right here. We is who the earth is for."

Showing she is wise beyond her years, Hushpuppy does not stress over the storm that will soon destroy her town, instead she appreciates what she has, the beauty of the earth.
Hushpuppy
Hushpuppy: "In a million years when kids go to school, they're gonna know, there was a Hushpuppy and she lived with her daddy in the Bathtub."

Hushpuppy has big plans for her life and nothing, not even a storm, will stop in her way. Someday, she says, people will know her name.

12 Years a Slave Movie Quotes
"12 Years a Slave" movie quotes tell the true story of Solomon Northup, a free man in the 1800s who was kidnapped and sold into slavery. The historical drama film was based on Northup's autobiography of the same name, which was converted into a screenplay by John Ridley. "12 Years a Slave" was directed by Steve McQueen and received critical acclaim when it premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on August 30, 2013.

In "12 Years a Slave," Solomon Northrup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a talented violinist and carpenter living in New York with his wife and family. Two men lure him into traveling to Washington, DC, on a touring gig where he is drugged and sold into slavery. Despite knowing that he is in fact a free man, Solomon ends up in New Orleans living a life as a slave named Platt.

Solomon begins working for William Ford (Benedict Cumberbatch) and even is allowed to revisit his musical abilities but soon a confrontation with carpenter John Tibeats (Paul Dano) leads to his sale to Edwin Epps (Michael Fassbender), an abusive master who operates a cotton plantation. Solomon survives at the Epps plantation, much from the help of other slaves like Patsey (Lupita Nyong'o), but longs to return to his life as a free man. After 12 years, Solomon meets Canadian abolitionist Samuel Bass (Brad Pitt) and both of their lives change forever as a result.

"12 Years a Slave" is widely expected to be in the running come awards season but will have competition from other movies showing at the same time such as "Frozen," "Oldboy," "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "Delivery Man," "Nebraska," "Sunlight Jr.," "Last Vegas," "Ender's Game, "The Counselor," "Bad Grandpa," "Escape Plan," "The Fifth Estate," "Captain Phillips," "Gravity," "Machete Kills," "Runner Runner," "Don Jon," "Rush, "Prisoners,", "Enough Said," "The Family," and "Riddick,".
12 Years a Slave Movie Quotes,

They're My Property
Samuel Bass: "The conditions of your laborers, it's all wrong."
Edwin Epps: "They're my property."
Samuel Bass: "You say that with pride."
Edwin Epps: "I say it as fact."

Samuel Bass tries to explain to Edwin Epps that he could have a little compassion towards those working for him. Epps on the other hand doesn't see them as people, simply property, his property.
I Want to Live
Robert: "If you want to survive, do and say as little as possible. Survival's not about certain death, it's about keeping your head down."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Days ago I was with my family, in my home. Now you tell me all is lost. Don't tell no one who I am? That's the way to survive? Well, I don't want to survive. I want to live."

Fellow slave Robert explains to Solomon how to stay out of trouble under the ownership of Epps. Solomon isn't interested in simply surviving, he wants his life back.
Master Brought You Here to Work
Mary Epps: "This is a list of goods and sundries. You will take it to be filled and return immediately. Take your tag. Take it to Bartholomew to add it to our debt."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Yes, mistress"
Mary Epps: "Where you from Platt?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I told you."
Mary Epps: "Tell me again."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Washington"
Mary Epps: "Who were your master?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Master name a Freeman."
Mary Epps: "Was he a learned man?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I suppose so."
Mary Epps: "He learn you to read?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "A word here or there but I have no understanding of the written text"
Mary Epps: "Don't trouble yourself with it. Same as the rest, master brought you here to work. That's all. Anymore will earn you 100 lashes."

Mary Epps suspects that Solomon is different and asks him questions to learn more about him. While she does give him advice on how to stay in line, it's not to keep him safe, more to keep him under her family's control.
I Will Be Clean
Patsey: "I went to Master Shaw's plantation."
Edwin Epps: "Ah, you admit it?"
Patsey: "Yes, really, and you know why? I got this from Mistress Shaw. Mistress Epps won't even grant me no soap to clean with. I stink so much I make myself gag. 500 pounds of cotton, day in, day out, more than any many here, and for that I will be clean. That's all I ask. This here what I went to Shaw's for."

Patsey, the hardest worker on the cotton plantation, explains why she snuck off to get soap from a neighbor. She tells Master Epps how hard she works and how poorly he treats her in return, remarking that for all she does, she deserves something as simple as her cleanliness.
I Did As Instructed
John Tibeats: "I thought I told you to commence to putting on clappers."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Yes, master, I'm about it. These have all been replaced."
John Tibeats: "Well didn't I tell you to get a keg of nails?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "And so I did."
John Tibeats: "God damn you. I thought you knowed something."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I did as instructed. If there's something wrong, it's wrong with the instruction."
John Tibeats: "You bastard. You god damn black bastard. You strip your clothes. Strip!"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I will not."

John Tibeats isn't a fan of Solomon and the feeling is mutual. Accordingly, when John confronts Solomon about doing a job incorrectly, Solomon explains that he followed directions so if the job was wrong, John must have explained it incorrectly.
I Will Survive
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I will survive! I will not fall into despair. I will keep myself hearty until freedom opportune."

Solomon vows to keep up his fight to go back to the life he once had. He's been a slave for a long time with no end in sight but his determination remains.
You're No Free Man
Edwin Epps: "Well, boy, how you feel now?"
Solomon Northup/Platt: "My name is Solomon Northup. I'm a free man and you have no right whatsoever to detain me."
Edwin Epps: "You're no free man. You ain't nothing but a Georgia runaway."

Solomon knows that he is free and those holding him against his will are breaking the law but he has little control to convince others of that fact, especially his strict master Edwin Epps.
I Was Born a Free Man
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I was born a free man, lived with my family from New York, until the day I was deceived, kidnapped, sold into slavery."

Solomon explains his story. He was born free and lived a nice life with his family until he was kidnapped and sold into slavery. Years have passed but he still holds out hope that one day he will return to that life and those he loves.
Well Traveled for a Slave
Solomon Northup/Platt: "I want to ask you what part of the country you come from."
Samuel Bass: "I originate from Canada. Now guess where that is."
Solomon Northup/Platt: "Oh I know where Canada is. I've been there myself."
Samuel Bass: "You're well traveled for a slave."

Samuel Bass, a Canadian abolitionist, treats Solomon like any other slave. This soon changes however when Bass begins to suspect that Solomon is no average slave. This changes both of their lives forever.

Ginger & Rosa Movie Quotes
"Ginger & Rosa" movie quotes provide the dialogue to the coming-of-age movie about two best friends who grow apart as they and the world changes. The British drama film was written and directed by Sally Potter and distributed by Artificial Eye. "Ginger & Rosa" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before it's October 19, 2012, release in the UK and March 15, 2013, release in the US.

In "Ginger & Rosa," the title characters portrayed by Elle Fanning and Alice Englert, respectively, are teen girls in London in 1962 and the best of friends. They are virtually inseparable as they skip school, hang out and discuss things like hairstyles and politics together. They also share the fact that their mothers, including Ginger's mother Natalie (Christina Hendricks), are quite frustrated and unhappy with their lives.

The relationship between Ginger and Rosa however changes when news of the Cuban Missile Crisis hits. Ginger, on the urging of her free-spirited father Roland (Alessandro Nivola), stresses about the Cold War and wants nothing more to protest for peace, which she does and later regrets. Rosa on the other hand is more interested in smoking and boys, especially Roland. This stress causes both to question if they are truly meant to be lifelong best friends or if they should go their separate ways sooner rather than later.

If "Ginger & Rosa" is not quote your cup of tea, many other movies are playing at the same time including "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, "Emperor," "Dead Man Down," "Oz: The Great and Powerful," "Stoker," "Phantom," "Jack and the Giant Slayer," "Dark Skies," "Snitch," "Beautiful Creatures," "Escape From Planet Earth 3D," "A Good Day to Die Hard," "Safe Haven," "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III," "Side Effects," and "Identity Thief."
Ginger & Rosa Movie Quotes,

We Are Very Different
Ginger: "I've loved you, Rosa, but we are very different. You dream of everlasting love, not me. Despite the horror and the sorrow, I love our world. I want us all to live. What really matters is to live and if we live, there will be nothing to forgive."

Ginger and Rosa talk after coming to the conclusion that they are growing apart. They've both matured since becoming friends and now have quite different priorities.
Grown Up and Young Enough
Mark: "Ginger may be grown up enough to try to save us all from nuclear catastrophe but she's also young enough to need some looking after!"

Mark, an older friend of Ginger's, scolds Ginger's father Roland for encouraging Ginger to participate in the nuclear protest. While he admits that Ginger is wise beyond her years, Mark reminds Roland that she is still a child.
I Can't Say It
Ginger: "I can't say it. I'll explode if I can't say it."
May Bella: "What is it you can't say, Ginger? What can't you say?"

Like any typical teenage girl, Ginger is dealing with a wide range of emotions. She has a secret that she absolutely must tell but simply cannot. May Bella tries to console her.
Seize It and Live
Roland: "The only life is the one we have now which is why we must seize it and live."

Ginger's free-spirited father Roland urges his daughter to seize the day as she grows into her own. She takes his advice and joins a protest against the use of nuclear weapons, something that doesn't work out too well for her in the end.
It's Getting Serious
Ginger: "The whole world could be blown to pieces any minute."
Mark: "My darling, Ginger"
May Bella: "She's right. It is getting serious."

Not happy with life at home, Ginger seeks companionship with Mark and May Bella. She opens up to them about her concerns about the world, specifically the Cuban Missile Crisis, something May Bella agrees is a valid concern.
We Should Do Something
Ginger: "I think we should do something, you know, protest."
Rosa: "Uh huh"

The differences between Ginger and Rosa are highlighted when Ginger speaks of protesting the Cuban Missile Crisis, something Rosa seemingly could care less about.
Where Have You Been?
Natalie: "Where have you been?"
Ginger: "We were just roving about, being free"
Natalie: "I think Rosa's bad influence."

After a night when Ginger and Rosa are out late, Natalie, Ginger's mother, asks where they've been. Natalie is not happy with Ginger's behavior and thinks that Rosa is to blame.
Who Do You Think You Are?
Ginger: "Who do you think you are? Don't you care about the future anymore?"
Rosa: "Who do you think you are? While everyone can serve the whole world some of us have to concentrate on just one person."

After growing apart, Ginger and Rose fight, questioning each other's actions and desires. Ginger is focused on the world as a whole while Rosa's view is much more limited.
A Girl's Most Important Possession
Rosa: "It says here that a girl's most important possession is a bubbly personality."
Ginger: "Interesting. Do you think that Simone de Beauvoir has a bubbly personality?"
Rosa: "Who?"
Ginger: "That French writer, she's an existentialist."
Rosa: "Maybe she hasn't read 'Girl.' Says here that boys don't like girls who are too serious."
Ginger: "Oh, well even so, did I tell you I decided to be a poet?"
Rosa: "I thought you were already."

Sitting in a tub of water to shrink their jeans, Ginger and Rosa have some girl talk. Rosa is all about boys and teen magazines while Ginger ponders more serious topics like poetry and existentialism.
Always Be Best Friends
Ginger: "We had a dream that we would always be best friends."

Ginger explains that she and Rosa always planned to be the best of friends, inseparable actually, like they were growing up. The world around them however is changing and they are growing into their own, which does not necessarily lead them on the same path.

"If I Stay" movie quotes follow the story of one girl who must choose between life and death when she's trapped in a coma. Based on the novel of the same name by Gayle Forman, the romantic drama film was adapted into a screenplay by Shauna Cross and directed by R. J. Cutler. "If I Stay" opened in theaters in the United States on August 22, 2014.

In "If I Stay," teenager Mia (Chloë Grace Moretz) finds herself at a place where she must make a life-changing decision between following her dreams of playing the cello and studying at the prestigious Juilliard or giving that up to stay with her beloved boyfriend, Adam (Jamie Blackley). The decision weighs on her but in comparison, is really nothing compared to another choice she is about to make.

After Mia, her mother, Kat (Mireille Enos), father, Denny (Joshua Leonard) and brother Teddy (Jakob Davies) are in an auto accident, Mia is the lone survivor and in a coma. She's given 24 hours to observe the life around her in an out-of-body experience, as well as the choice whether she lives or dies. With a lot at stake for her life, Mia finds this decision overwhelming, to say the least.

"If I Stay" is one of several highly anticipated summer 2014 movies alongside "The Expendables 3," "Let's Be Cops," "Life After Beth," "Frank," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "The Hundred-Foot Journey "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Get On Up," "Hercules," "Lucy," "Magic in the Moonlight," "A Most Wanted Man," "Happy Christmas," "Planes: Fire & Rescue," "Sex Tape," "Wish I Was Here, "And So It Goes, and "Dawn of Planet of the Apes."
If I Stay Movie Quotes,

This Feeling I'm About to Mess Up My Entire Life
Mia: "Why do I have this feeling I'm about to mess up my entire life?"
Adam: "You can't hide in that rehearsal room forever. It's too late. I see you."

Mia is at a crossroads in life. She wants to pursue a career as a musician, but that means busting out of her comfort done and leaving her boyfriend. This decision is weighing heavily on her and it shows.
Life Is One Thing Then In an Instant It Becomes Something Else
Mia: "You know how when you meet someone and they already are the person they're meant to be? That was Adam. Nobody outside of Portland had ever heard of his band but he already was somebody. Me, not so much. It's it amazing how life is one thing then in an instant it becomes something else? Like here I am, Mia, the girl who thinks about the cello and Adam just like that…"

Mia describes how perfect her life was, at least in meeting Adam, before the accident. But then, in one instant, that all changed.
I'm Still Here And I'm Still Crazy In Love with You
Adam: "I'm still here and I'm still crazy in love with you. You're my whole, Mia. Please stay."

Sitting by her bedside, Adam begs Mia to stay with them in the living. Of course she wants to be with him, but the choice is the hardest she's ever faced in her life.
It's Very Inconvenient to Fall in Love
Mia: "If we weren't musicians, we could just go to college together."
Kat: "It's very inconvenient to fall in love at your age, especially if it's the real thing. Life is this big, fat, gigantic, stinking mess. That's the beauty of it too."

Mia unloads to her mother about her decision and wishes things could be less complicated. As Kat points out, love is never easy and often very complicated.
If You Live, If You Die, It's All Up to You
Mia: "Mom, daddy, dad, am I dying?"
Nurse Ramirez: "Here's the secret, baby. If you live, if you die, it's all up to you. So whatever fight you got in you, you gotta pull it out now."

Mia gets the first glimpse of the aftermath of the crash. In addition to learning that she's having an out of body experience, she also learns that if she lives or dies is in her hands.
I Hear It Gets Pretty Wild at the Symphony
Denny: "Adam's here."
Kat: "You kids be careful out there. I hear it gets pretty wild at the symphony."

Mia's mother, Kat, jokes about the evening she and Adam have planned. For most kids, a date to the symphony isn't exactly fun times but for these two, it's perfect.
That's the Ceiling
Mia: "What's that?"
Adam: "Where you'll be auditioning for Juilliard, that's the ceiling. I figured, you know, if you look at it every night, it won't seem so scary when you get there."

Knowing she is terrified of her audition, Adam paints Mia's bedroom ceiling to look like the ceiling at the theater where she will be auditioning for Juilliard. This kind gesture is meant to put her at ease, but that might take more than just some paint.
How Am I Supposed to Decide This?
Mia: "How am I supposed to decide this? How can I possibly stay without mom and dad? How can I leave without Teddy? Or Adam? This is too much. I don't even understand how it all works. Why am I here in the state that I'm in or how do I get out of it if I wanted to? If I were to say, I want to wake up, would I wake up right now? But in spite of it, I believe it's true. I heard the nurse's words. I am running the show. Everyone is waiting on me. I decide, I know that now, and that terrifies me more than anything else that's happened today."

Mia tries to process the decision before her, to live or die. She doesn't understand how she got to this place or why the decision is hers and doesn't have the slightest clue what to do.

This comes however at an untimely moment as right when Katie is getting comfortable with Alex in Southport is when the authorities from Boston have tracked her down.

Safe Haven Movie Quotes,

A Change of Pace
Jo: "How are you liking Southport?"
Katie: "It's definitely a change of pace."
Jo: "From what?"
Katie: "Somewhere where I don't really want to go back to."

Katie gives a glimpse of her dark past when opening up slightly to Jo. Katie explains that she likes Southport because it's nothing like her former life.
Stop the Bus!
Detective Tierney: "Have you seen this woman?"
Bus Station Clerk: "I don't think so."

Detective Tierney: "Stop the bus, Boston PD!"

As Katie makes her escape from Boston, Detective Tierney is just a few steps too late in stopping her and the bus she's boarded. This however does not mean the detective is giving up in his chase.
I Just Can't Take It
Katie: "Did you leave this outside my house last night?"
Alex: "It was just sitting in my shed. I see you walking everyday. It's perfect for you."
Katie: "I appreciate it but, I just, I can't take it."
Alex: "All right"

Trying to help, Alex leaves Katie a bicycle for her to use to get around town. Katie, not wanting to get attached or own anyone anything, refuses the kind gesture.
I'll Give You a Lift
Alex: "I had this extra can of primer in the back. I thought you might want to put this down before you put the paint down."
Katie: "Oh, yeah, great. I didn't even think about that."
Alex: "So let me grab my keys. I'll give you a lift."
Katie: "No, thanks, I'm fine."
Alex: "You're going to walk all the way back with the cans."
Katie: "Yep, I'm good."

Knowing Katie has a long walk with heavy paint cans, he offers her a ride. Initially, she resists but after she grows tired only a fraction of the way into the walk, she relents and accepts his help.
His Wife
Waitress: "Did you hear about his wife? She passed away a few years ago."

Katie's view of Alex changes when a waitress informs her that Alex's wife died a few years earlier. Instead of seeing him as someone to keep distant, Katie can relate to having an unfortunate past.
Clean, Empty Canvas
Alex: "Why Southport?"
Katie: "It looks like this, a clean, empty canvas."

Enjoying a day at the beach, Katie and Alex talk about why Katie chose to settle down in the small town. For Katie, Southport represents a place where her past cannot haunt her, essentially giving her a fresh start.
I Can't Let You Go
Katie: "He's gonna find me."
Alex: "If you're in some kind of trouble we can fix it. I love you and I can't let you go. There's no safer place for you than here with me."

Upset that the law is closing in on her, Katie explains why she must move on from this perfect South Carolina town. Alex however disagrees, urging her to face her past so they can both move forward with their lives together.
Does It Get Better With Time?
Katie: "Does it get better with time?"
Alex: "Yeah, yeah, at first I tried to avoid any place we went together. I tried to forget. I tried to put it all behind me. I tried to, you know, just look forward but it just didn't work and I realized that if I'm not thinking about her, who is? You know, and she was an amazing woman and I loved her. I want my kids to know that. I want them to know her. So, we're just keeping our heads down. I'm getting to play mom and dad, which is interesting. Just trying to keep it all together, really. But today with you, this is probably the first time I've looked up."
Katie: "It's a perfect day."

Alex explains to Katie the difficulties of dealing with losing a spouse and his range of emotions that followed his wife's death. He does however mention the light at the end of the tunnel he found when spending time with Katie.
I've Had Things Happen to Me
Jo: "Why won't you let him get to know you?"
Katie: "I've had things happen to me in the past, things that still scare me."

Jo wonders why Katie insists on keeping to herself, especially when there's an attractive man ready to sweep her off her feet. Katie responds noting the still open wounds from her past.
Just a Pit Stop
Alex: "It's usually just a pit stop for some people."
Katie: "I like it here."
Alex: "I'm Alex, nice to meet you."

Alex and Katie meet for the first time when Katie visits Alex's shop for some groceries. Alex is surprised to see a new face in town since rarely do people spend more than a short time there.

Frontera Movie Quotes
"Frontera" movie quotes tell the story of a former sheriff who seeks out to find out who killed his wife. The western drama was written and directed by Michael Berry in his feature film writing and directing debut. "Fontera" opened in theaters in the United States on September 5, 2014.

In "Frontera," Miguel Ramirez (Michael Peña) leaves his pregnant wife Paulina (Eva Longoria) in Mexico while he travels on foot to the United States in search of a better life for their family. Just over the border in Arizona, Miguel, along with a man he's traveling with, meets Livy (Amy Madigan), who was out of a horseback ride on her ranch. Moments later, someone fires a rifle which spooks her horse, sending her crashing to the rocks below, killing her.

When Livy's husband, former sheriff Roy (Ed Harris), hears the shots, he immediately heads to the area and begins an unofficial investigation into the killing. But when current Sheriff Randall Hunt (Aden Young) arrests Miguel for the crime, Roy isn't so sure they've nabbed the right guy and his following investigation leads him to surprising conclusions.

"Frontera" brings some serious subject matter to theaters already packed with lighter titles such as "The Identical," "The November Man," "The Congress," "Life of Crime," "Starred Up," "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," "If I Stay," "When the Game Stands Tall," "Are You Here," "The Expendables 3," "Let's Be Cops," "Life After Beth," "Frank," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "The Hundred-Foot Journey "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Get On Up," "Hercules," "Lucy," "Magic in the Moonlight."
Frontera Movie Quotes,

Tell Me That He's Without Blame
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "You can't walk in here and tell me that he's without blame."

Roy isn't sure that it was Miguel who killed his wife but Sheriff Hunt questions him to say whether he thinks Miguel is completely without blame for the death. This forces Roy to question what blame really encompasses.
Somebody's Gotta Do Your Job for You
Roy: "Did you already have your boys do a sweep?"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "Yeah, but they didn't find anything."

Roy: "Maybe you could match some of those up with that body down there. Somebody's gotta do your job for you."

Roy wants some solid evidence that they have the right suspect in his wife's death so he does some old fashioned detective work of his own. He ends up finding what the rest of the sheriff crew missed.
Some Illegals Killed Mrs. McNary
Claire: "Did you hear what happened? Some illegals killed Mrs. McNary. She was riding on her ranch and they tried to steal her horse and they killed her."

When news of Livy's death hits the gossip circles at the local high school, the story changes every time it is told. Typical of high school, a lot of people with no idea what they are talking about are sure doing a lot of talking.
Why You Always Gotta Ride the Damn Wash?
Roy: "Why you always gotta ride the damn wash?"
Livy: "Cause it's the best trail"
Roy: "That's why we can't keep the damn Mexicans out of it."

Roy tries to talk wife Livy out of taking the horse down on a certain trail but thinking of that as the best trail, she ignores his request. Unfortunately for both of them, it does not end well.
Shooter's Gotta Pay for What They Did
Roy: "The shooter's gotta pay for what they did."

Roy is not certain who killed his wife or why, but he does know that whomever is responsible must pay for the senseless killing.
There Were Shots
Roy: "That's not the guy I saw."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "You're sure?"
Roy: "Yeah, I'm sure."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "Well then, there may have been two."
Roy: "Why you say that?"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "Well we picked them up in a stolen truck and one of the things we found in the truck was this. You recognize this?"
Roy: "Yeah"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "As soon as we told him what happened, he started talking really fast."
Roy: "You told him?"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "It was that he and another guy that he was traveling with met up with a woman on a horse and he gave them that blanket. He says that somebody was shooting at him and the lady fell off her horse and hit her head."
Roy: "That's a bunch of bulls***."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "I know, I'm just telling you what the man said, keeping you in the loop like I promised."
Roy: "Should have shot that son of a bitch when I had the chance."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "I saw that you had a firearm on you when we got there. Were you shooting at them, Roy?"
Roy: "No"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "Are you sure?"
Roy: "Yeah, I'm sure. There were shots."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "There were shots?"
Roy: "Yeah, rifle shots, that's why I went out there in the first place."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "Why the hell didn't you tell me that before? That's pretty damn important."
Roy: "I don't know. Hell, Randal, we was…"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "All right, something else, now our man in there IDed the same man you did in the mugs."
Roy: "He did?"
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "He did."

Roy erupts when he sees a suspect in custody and has to be held back by Sheriff Hunt. In the conversation that follows, Roy shares some very important information about the events that day.
We Got Our Guy
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "How many times you and I stood here and watched these boys lie through they teeth? We got our guy."
Roy: "I don't know."

Sheriff Randal Hunt is sure that they've got the right man for the crime, that their suspect is just lying. Roy isn't so sure about either.
I Want to Talk to Ramirez
Roy: "I want to talk to Ramirez."
Sheriff Randall Hunt: "I can't allow that. That man is the prime suspect."
Roy: "I know better than anybody that there is a lot of things you can't do as sheriff but letting me talk to Ramirez ain't one of them."

Roy, as a former sheriff, requests a meeting with the prime suspect in his wife's death. He eventually gets his wish but it doesn't come easily.

Inside Llewyn Davis Movie Quotes,

Who Does That?
Roland Turner: "What'd you say you played?"
Llewyn Davis: "Folk songs"
Roland Turner: "Folk songs, I thought you said you was a musician… Solo act?"
Llewyn Davis: "No, I had a partner. He threw himself off the George Washington Bridge."
Roland Turner: "George Washington Bridge? You throw yourself off the Brooklyn Bridge, traditionally. George Washington Bridge, who does that?"

While riding in the car with Roland Turner, Llewyn Davis is pressed with questions about his career. Interestingly enough Roland is more interested in the bridge Llewyn's former partner used to commit suicide than he is about Llewyn's music.
You Have to Owe Me Something
Llewyn Davis: "How we doing?"
Mel: "We're doing great."
Llewyn Davis: "Really? New record's doing well?"
Mel: "Ah, how we doing? Not so hot, I gotta be honest. Jenny, where's Cincinnati?"
Jenny: "What?"
Mel: "Cincinnati, it's not in here."
Jenny: "It should be in there."
Mel: "It's not in here. I'm telling ya."
Jenny: "Cincinnati?"
Mel: "Yeah"
Jenny: "I got it."
Mel: "What?"
Jenny: "I got it."
Mel: "You got Cincinnati?"
Jenny: "Yeah, you want it?"
Mel: "Could I have it?"
Jenny: "Should I bring it in?"
Mel: "Yeah"
Llewyn Davis: "You owe me something? You have to owe me something."
Mel: "I wish. People need time, you know, to get to know you, buy you as a solo act, even know you're a solo act… Cincinnati is not good."
Jenny: "That's it, right?"
Mel: "Yeah, this is it."
Llewyn David: "No one knew us when we were a duo. It's not like we were a big act. It's not a big re-education for the public. Mel? Mel?!"
Mel: "How you doing kid?"
Llewyn Davis: "Mel, there was no advance on my solo record. There's gotta be some royalty. For christ sake, it's cold out and I don't even have a winter coat."
Mel: "You're kidding me. Take this, kid."
Llewyn Davis: "No, no"

Llewyn heads to meet with Mel at his record company's office with the hopes that his solo album has brought in some earnings. The news isn't good however, neither is Mel's sense of indifference to his struggles.
So, I Can't Stay Here Tonight?
Jean Berkey: "Explain the cat!"
Troy Nelson: "What's its name?"
Llewyn Davis: "I… I don't know. It's the Gorfein's cat. It slipped out and I don't have the key."
Jean Berkey: "Do you think you are staying here tonight?"
Llewyn Davis: "I was hoping to."
[Jean hands Llewyn a note stating that she's pregnant]
Llewyn Davis: "So, I can't stay here tonight?"

Jean Berkey: "Don't tell Jim, obviously."

Llewyn heads to the home of Jim and Jean Berkey hoping to stay the night. Jean is not happy to see Llewyn, first that he left a cat at her apartment but also by the fact that she's pregnant, and not by her husband.
Do You Ever Think About the Future at All?
Jean Berkey: "Do you ever think about the future at all?"
Llewyn Davis: "You mean like flying cars, hotels on the moon, Tang? You mean like move to the suburbs, have kids?"
Jean Berkey: "That's bad?"
Llewyn Davis: "If that's what music is to you, a way to get to that place, then yeah, it's a little careerist and it's a little square and it's a little sad."

Jean urges Llewyn to get more serious about taking care of himself, making a living. She sees playing music as a way to make a life for her family while Llewyn sees her view as careerist, while he's in it for the art.
Just Exist?
Joy: "What if the music's not…"
Llewyn Davis: "What, quit? Just exist?"

Joy tries to talk some sense into Llewyn, to urge him to seek out a real job and try to give up his music career. Llewyn sees it differently. Without music, he simply exists rather than contributes.
I Want You to Leave
Joy: "I want you to leave. Get out of here!"
Llewyn Davis: "Danny, your uncle's a bad man."
Danny: "Okay"

Llewyn is asked to leave by Joy while nephew Danny watches. It's not the first time Llewyn has needed a new place to sleep, actually a common problem he seems to face.
Play Me Something
Llewyn Davis: "I'm interested in gigging here."
Bud Grossman: "Okay, let's hear something."
Llewyn Davis: "You don't want to hear the record?"
Bud Grossman: "Why should I? You're here, play me something. Play me something from Inside Llewyn Davis."
Llewyn Davis: "Okay"

Looking for some work, Llewyn heads into a music venue and talks with Bug Grossman. Unexpectedly, Llewyn was asked to audition on the spot rather than simply leave his album for review.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby Movie Quotes
"The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" movie quotes tell a romantic love story about a young couple as seen by her perspective, his perspective and the perspective of those around them. Ned Benson wrote and directed the three films with the first, "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them," having opened in theaters on September 12, 2014.

In "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby," Eleanor Rigby (Jessica Chastain) and Connor Ludlow (James McAvoy) meet and almost immediately fall head over heels in love with one another. They soon marry with Connor working in a restaurant and Eleanor returning to college.

But when tragedy strikes the couple, their blissful honeymoon stage quickly ends. Eleanor, looking to leave the unpleasantness of the present, flees, leaving Connor wondering where she went and what to do. But as Eleanor seeks solace in family and friends (including William Hurt and Viola Davis), she learns the tough lesson that love, while amazing initially, isn't always paradise and requires a good deal of persistence to make work.

"The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" opens alongside other films that were all the rave at recent film festivals including "Dolphin Tale 2," "No Good Deed," "The Skeleton Twins," "The Drop," "The Identical," "Frontera," "The Longest Week," "The November Man," "The Congress," "Life of Crime," "Starred Up," "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," "If I Stay," "When the Game Stands Tall," "Are You Here," "The Expendables 3," "Let's Be Cops," "Life After Beth," "Frank," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "The Hundred-Foot Journey "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Get On Up," "Hercules," "Lucy," "Magic in the Moonlight."
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby Movie Quotes,

Then Things Get Hard
Julian Rigby: "Everyone starts out thinking this is forever. Then things get hard."

Eleanor Rigby: "I can't do this anymore."

Eleanor seeks comfort in her father, Julian, when things with Connor get difficult. As he explains, love starts as a blissful period of invincibility but eventually real issues arise.
Would You Still Love Me If I Couldn't Pay for Dinner?
Connor Ludlow: "Would you still love me if I couldn't pay for dinner? … What are you doing?"
Eleanor Rigby: "Taking my shoes off. I'm going to leave first and then when the time is right, like when the maitre d' is not um looking, you meet me down the street."
Maitre d': "Um, excuse me, sir"

Connor Ludlow: "Run, run, run!"

Connor and Eleanor dine and dash at a nice Manhattan restaurant. Their plan seems solid but the maitre d' catches them in the act.
You Noticed That?
Eleanor Rigby: "You're sopping wet!"
Connor Ludlow: "You noticed that?"

Eleanor Rigby: "You're sopping wet!"
Connor Ludlow: "Oh, you noticed. Thank you."

The different perspectives shown in this scene give an example of how the film, or rather the combination of three films of the same events from three perspectives--him, her and them--are presented. In the first portion, we see Eleanor's perspective then in the second, that of Connor.
If You Walk Away from Things
Professor Lillian Friedman: "If you walk away from things, start a new history of walkaways."

Eleanor gets some wise advice from Professor Lillian Friedman. Eleanor can choose to give up and walk away, but she might be actually starting a routine of giving up rather than ending something fixable.
I Need to Try Some Other Version of Myself
Eleanor Rigby: "I need to try some other version of myself. I'll never get to where we were."
Connor Ludlow: "Where is that?"
Eleanor Rigby: "Some place good"

Eleanor explains her need to change the life she currently lives, which is no longer that good place when she and Connor first met. She's not sure what she needs to do, just that the present isn't desirable.
None of Us Know How to Help You
Julian Rigby: "None of us know how to help you."
Eleanor Rigby: "Please stop reminding me that something's wrong."

Julian's perspective as a loving father trying to help daughter Eleanor is presented. She is quite upset and as much as her family wants to help, it's not that simple.
She's Vanished
Connor Ludlow: "I have no clue where she's gone. She's vanished."

Stuart: "Maybe she wants you to go after her."
Connor Ludlow: "No, she doesn't."
Stuart: "Wait a couple of days then go after her?"
Connor Ludlow: "Shut up."

Connor is lost when wife Eleanor just disappears. Despite urging from friend Stuart, Connor isn't eager to go chasing after her.

Ricki and the Flash Movie Quotes
Ricki and the Flash movie quotes tell the story of one mother who left her family to pursue rock and roll and years later has to come to terms with that decision. The comedy-drama was written by Diablo Cody and directed by Jonathan Demme. Ricki and the Flash opened in theaters in the United States on August 7, 2015.

In Ricki and the Flash, Ricki (Meryl Streep) left her husband Pete (Kevin Kline) and children, including Julie (Streep's real life daughter Mamie Gummer) and Josh (Sebastian Stan) many years ago to pursue her dream of music. So when Ricki, out on tour with her band (including Rick Springfield), receives a call from Pete saying that Julie's husband, Max (Gabriel Ebert) has left her, Ricki returns home for a rare visit.

Upon arriving, Ricki is faced to deal with the fact that her family moved on without her. Pete married Maureen (Audra McDonald), who filled the motherly role Ricki left, and son Josh got engaged but wasn't planning to invite Ricki to the wedding. Ricki struggles to deal with these issues, while still remaining strong to support Julie, two things that are not easy. In the end, she needs to find a way to move forward with the family and her life together, another seemingly impossible task.

Ricki and the Flash joins theaters already showing a bunch of other great films such as Fantastic Four, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Vacation, and Southpaw.
Ricki and the Flash Movie Quotes,

What Happened?
Ricki: What happened?
Julie: Max came home and told me that he was in love with a girl named Nicole.

Ricki tries her best to connect with daughter Julie after Julie's husband, Max, left her. It's been a while since the two have talked like this and it isn't easy for either of them.
Practically Eloping
Julie: Why aren't you wearing your engagement ring?
Ricki: You two are engaged?
Pete: Who wants some appetizers?
Josh: We're practically eloping, ma.
Julie: Why don't you be honest, Josh, and tell mom that you don't want her at the wedding?
Waiter: Did someone order a mudslide?
Daniel: Yeah, keep 'em coming.

A dinner with the family turns awkward real fast when Ricki learns that son Josh is planning a secret wedding. Thankfully for everyone, alcohol is involved.
Julie Hates You
Pete: Hey, why did you walk out on my daughter?
Ricki: Our daughter
Max: Julie hates you.
Ricki: That may be and I have to live with that every day of my life but now you have to live with the pain you caused.

When Pete and Ricki confront the man, Max, who left their daughter Julie, Max tries to point fingers back at Ricki. Ricki knows she wasn't the best mother but reminds Max that her faults don't make his actions right.
It's Your Job to Love Them
Greg: It really doesn't matter if the kids love you or not. It's not their job to love you. It's your job to love them.

Greg explains things to Ricki quite simply. Ricki cannot make her children love her, only love them as best she can.
Sometimes a Girl Just Needs Her Mother
Ricki: Call in sick, go to the old neighborhood... Sometimes a girl just needs her mother.
...
Ricki: Lots of things are going to change in your life. Someday you're going to wake up and find a gray hair and I don't mean on your head.

Ricki and daughter Julie plan a girls' day out and head to the spa. The conversation, however, turns awkward real fast.
It's Julie, Our Daughter
Ricki: Hello
Pete: I've been trying to call you. It's Julie, our daughter. Max left her.
Ricki: What?

On tour, Ricki is surprised by a call from her ex-husband, Pete, who had been trying to reach her. Their daughter Julie needs family right now, leading Ricki to make an infrequent visit home.
Like the 80s All Over Again
Pete: You brought your guitar.
Ricki: Yeah, just the one.
...
Julie: Whoa! Mom, you're here. It's like the 80s all over again.

Julie is surprised to see her mother, Ricki, there. According to Julie, this sort of thing hasn't happened for decades.
There Was a Hole in This Family
Ricki: I hope Maureen doesn't mind that I'm here.
...
Maureen: We are really concerned about Julie.
Ricki: She's going to be all right. She's always been a fighter.
Maureen: Well, she's had to be.
...
Ricki: I've missed so much.
Maureen: There was a hole in this family and I filled it.

When Ricki returns home, she's forced to confront the truth of her absence in the family. Maureen, who filled that hole Ricki left, does not skirt around the issue.
Because You Screwed Up Once
Ricki: They're all grown up now.
Greg: You think that because you screwed up once, you don't get a second chance?

Feeling defeated, Ricki phones Greg for some support. He explains that just because things happened doesn't mean that relationships are beyond repair.
I Was Never a Traditional Mom
Ricki: I was never a traditional mom but I am a musician and I'd like to give all I have to you.

In speaking at son Josh's wedding, it appears that Ricki has found her place in her children's lives. While she's no perfect mother, she can share what she is good at with them as much as she can.

The Good Lie Movie Quotes
"The Good Lie" movie quotes tell based-on-true-events story of Sudanese refugees who come to America, changing their lives and others in the process. The drama film was directed by Philippe Falardeau using a screenplay written by Margaret Nagle. Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are among the producers for the film which opened on October 3, 2014.

In "The Good Life," Mamere (Arnold Ocena), Jeremiah (Ger Duany) and Paul (Emmanuel Jal) win a lottery to leave their war-torn Sudan to live in America. Upon arriving in the states, they are greeted by Carrie (Reece Witherspoon), who, along with Jack (Corey Stoll) will help them get settled in and find employment.

But the relationship between the men and Carrie grows much stronger when Carrie learns that they have another sibling, Abital (Kuoth Wiel), who was unable to leave Sudan with them, sending Carrie on a mission to reunite the four refugees. That task, however is not easy, nor especially legal at the moment, requiring the use of more than one "good lie" to accomplish.

"The Good Life" brings an emotional story to theaters already packed with other heavy movies such as "Gone Girl," "Men, Women & Children," "Left Behind," "The Equalizer," "Pride," "Good People," "The Boxtrolls," "This is Where I Leave You," "The Maze Runner," "A Walk Among the Tombstones," "Dolphin Tale 2," "No Good Deed," "The Skeleton Twins," "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby," "The Drop," "The Identical," "Frontera," "The Longest Week," "The November Man," "The Congress," "Life of Crime," "Starred Up," "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," "If I Stay."
The Good Lie Movie Quotes,

She Need To Be Here with Us
Mamere: "I had 34 brothers and sisters and they all died but one and she need to be here with us."

Mamere explains that while he and his two brothers were allowed to come to America as refugees, one of their sisters, the only one who survived the war in Sudan, remains. This mention sets Carrie on a mission to reunite them.
Hosting a Refugee
Carrie: "Hey"
Pamela: "Hey"
Carrie: "Thanks for coming over on such short notice."
Pamela: "Yeah, sure"
Carrie: "I know you're busy on Sundays with church and everything, so, thanks for coming."
Pamela: "Uh huh"
Carrie: "I need your help."
Pamela: "Yeah, you do."
Carrie: "I'm just wondering what you think of this room, whether I could turn it into, you know, a bedroom. Maybe fix it up, get rid of some of this stuff. I'm wondering if you think it would be good enough for the INS to approve me hosting a refugee or if your agency would even back me up on that."
Pamela: "If you can get the whole house presentable and not just this room, yeah. I think you can get approval."
Carrie: "What's wrong with the rest of the house?"
Pamela: "Really?"
Carrie: "All right, so where do we begin?"
Pamela: "Well, why don't you make us some coffee?"
Carrie: "I have tequila."
Pamela: "Praise the lord!"

Hoping to qualify to host a refugee, Carrie enlists the help of Pamela to get a spare bedroom in order. But as Pamela points out, they're going to need to fix more than just the bedroom to qualify.
Who Do I Have To Screw Around Here To See an Immigration Supervisor?
INS Clerk: "You don't have an appointment."
Carrie: "Who do I have to screw around here to see an immigration supervisor?"
INS Supervisor: "Me!"
Carrie: "Thanks, cupcake"

INS Supervisor: "That's going to be a problem. All flights from the Kakuma Refuge Camp have been stopped."
INS Agent: "Since 9/11, the program here has stopped indefinitely."
Carrie: "She's a child refuge of war."

When Carrie arrives at the INS office to speak about bringing the boys' sister to America, she is met with more than a little resistance. Unfortunately, bringing the girl to the states will be very difficult.
Dangerous Animals in This Area
Carrie: "I need your help."
Paul: "Are there any dangerous animals in this area?"
Jack: "Such as?"
Paul: "Lions"
Jack: [laughs] "No, there's no lions here. You're safe."

Jack: "What's their story, anyways?"
Carrie: "I'm not sure. They seem pretty traumatized."

When Paul asks Jack about dangerous animals, like lions, in the area, at first, Jack thinks it's a joke. He soon learns that where they came from, these kinds of dangers were daily occurrences.
Great White Cow
Jeremiah: "I'm sorry about bringing you dishonor but I cannot do a job I believe in my heart is wrong."
Carrie: "You don't bring me dishonor personally but this company did vouch for you and it is a big deal. Let me explain something to you. In America, we have this thing called bosses and they have too much power for their teeny tiny brains but you have to put up with it because you need money to live and to eat and to go to school. So I'm going to try to get you more job interviews. It's not going to be easy."
Jeremiah: "I have ERD."
Carrie: "ERD?"
Jeremiah: "It is our special name for you."
Carrie: "For me?"
Jeremiah: "Yes, it has great cultural significance."
Carrie: "What does it mean?"
Jeremiah: "It means great white cow."
Carrie: "Okay, eell, it's better than a lot of things I've been called."

Jeremiah answers to Carrie after his job assignment didn't work out. He does however have a very special nickname for her, though some is lost in translation.
I'm Just Supposed to Help Them Find Jobs
Carrie: "Yes, hello, this is Carrie… Pick up who? I'm just supposed to help them find jobs."

Carrie: "You must be the guys from Somalia… Senegal…"
Mamere: "Sudan… My name is Mamere. These are my brothers Jeremiah and Paul. You must be Pamela Lowry from Faith Based Charities."
Carrie: "Oh, no, I'm from the Forrester employment agency. I'm going to help you find jobs but I wasn't supposed to meet you until tomorrow but the gal who was supposed to pick you up from your resettlement agency got stuck in her car, but anyway. Okay, uh, did your luggage come down the chute? Great! Okay, let's go!"

Mamere: "Where is your husband?"
Carrie: "No, I'm not married. I provide for myself."
Mamere: "Your survival skills are very impressive."
Carrie: "Thanks"

Carrie: "I'll call you tomorrow morning and we'll start the job hunt."

Upon request, Carrie picks up the men from the airport and gets them settled into their new home. While she claims that she is only there to help them get jobs, her ultimate involvement in their lives will be much more life changing.
The Good Lie
Erin Sullivan: "Having all read Huckleberry Finn, can anyone tell me what the good lie means?"
Female Student: "Huck uses lies to survive in undesirable situations."
Erin Sullivan: "Exactly. But later in the book, the lies change. How so?"
Mamere: "They change because Huck changes."
Erin Sullivan: "Yes, keep going."
Mamere: "When he tells the slave hunters that he has no slaves, his lie is credible so he lies well but what is more important is that it's an unselfish lie because it saves Jim. Jim's freedom means more to Huck than the money he would get from turning him in. So it is a good lie."
Erin Sullivan: "I could not have said it better."

Mamere explains the story of Huckleberry Finn in his English class. Little does he know, this story will soon be coming very close to home with Carrie taking a great risk, and using a good lie, to help him.
Our Names Are on That List
Mamere: "Our names are on that list!"

The event that started the chain of events on which the film is based is featured. Mamere, along with his brothers Jeremiah and Paul were selected via lottery to go to America as a refugee, changing their lives, and those of others involved, forever.
You Should Just Stick to Walking
Jack: "Hey, you're uh…"
Jeremiah: "Jeremiah"
Jack: "Jeremiah, right, right. Where are you going?"
Jeremiah: "To my home"
Jack: "Come on, I'll give you a ride."
Jeremiah: "You are Carrie's boss."
Jack: "Nobody is Carrie's boss.
Jeremiah: "Oh, this is a very fine car."
Jack: "Thank you"
Jeremiah: "May I ask, what credential is required to drive a car?"
Jack: "Well, you need a driver's license. So you practice, then you pass a test."

Jack: "Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, slow down, slow down, left, left, okay, okay, now just stop. Put on the brakes! Brakes! Brakes! … You okay? I think you should just stick to walking."

What starts as Jack offering Paul a ride home soon turns into an impromptu driving lesson for Paul. Like other things, getting accustomed to this American activity does not come so easily.

The Drop Movie Quotes
"The Drop" movie quotes follow the action when a drop bar, packed with gangster money, is robbed leaving those working at the bar left to deal with the consequences. The crime drama was directed by Michaël R. Roskam using a screenplay from Dennis Lehane. Including the last feature film appearance by the late James Gandolfini, "The Drop" opened in theaters on September 12, 2014.

In "The Drop," Bob (Tom Hardy) and Cousin Marv (James Gandolfini) operate Cousin Marv's Bar, a local watering hole that Marv formerly owned, but has now been taken over by gangsters and used as a drop point for dirty money. So one night when the bar is robbed by masked men, Bob and Marv are on the hook for the lost money.

Not only do Bob and Marv have detectives (John Ortiz and Elizabeth Rodriguez) knocking on their door looking to find out what happened--and what was happening in the bar to begin with--but they also have the gangsters who own the bar after them looking for their missing cash. This forces Bob and Marv into a corner, the only exit from which might mean they will do something they cannot ever take back.

"The Drop" joins the winding down summer 2014 movie season that also included "Dolphin Tale 2," "No Good Deed," "The Identical," "Frontera," "The Longest Week," "The November Man," "The Congress," "Life of Crime," "Starred Up," "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," "If I Stay," "When the Game Stands Tall," "Are You Here," "The Expendables 3," "Let's Be Cops," "Life After Beth," "Frank," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "The Hundred-Foot Journey "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Get On Up," "Hercules," "Lucy," "Magic in the Moonlight."
The Drop Movie Quotes,

They Call It a Drop Bar
Bob: "In Brooklyn, money, it changes hands all night long and it's not the kind of money you can deposit in the bank. But all that money needs to end up somewhere. They call it a drop bar. We just hide the entire city's dirty money right in plain sight."

Bob gives a quick breakdown of the setting and plot of the film. In Brooklyn, mob money is exchanged in plain sight all the time, including at the bar he tends. Few realize that it's happening all around them, but it's definitely happening often.
I Had Something
Cousin Marv: "Well I'm not the guy who wasted his entire life waiting for it to start."
Bob: "You think I did that?"
Cousin Marv: "Mmmhmm. At least I had something. I was respected. I was feared. When I walked into a place people sat up, they say up straight, they noticed. What'd you ever have? A barstool, which you put that old Betty at and bought her free drinks and don't you think I don't know you did it on purpose. That was my stool and nobody sat on that stool cause it was Cousin Marv's stool and that meant something! That meant something!"
Bob: "But it didn't… ever. It was just a stool."

Cousin Marv and Bob have very different ideas of the impact Marv made during his life. Marv sees himself as someone who was the most feared boss back in the day where as Bob remember things much differently.
I Just Tend the Bar
Nadia: "I heard that Cousin Marv does own the bar, some hard guys do. You're not a hard guy."
Bob: "Yeah, we had a crew when we was back in the day, when we was younger. Marv, he thought he was a tough guy. Then the neighborhood changed. It wasn't enough to be tough. You had to be mean."
Nadia: "You still in the life?"
Bob: "Nope, I just tend the bar."

Nadia asks Bob about the situation with the bar to get a sense of who Bob is. As Bob explains, Cousin Marv once owned the bar but times have changed and the bar, along with the neighborhood, have changed hands.
Do You Know Who You're Jacking Here?
Robber: "All of your money right in the bag!"
Cousin Marv: "Do you know what you're doing? Do you know who you're jacking here?"
Robber: "Fill the bag!"

Bob and Cousin Marv encounter two masked robbers at their bar. Marv tries to explain whose money they are stealing, but this logic is lost on the criminals.
Rocco's Better
Nadia: "What are you going to name him?"
Bob: "I was thinking maybe Rocco. I'd like to name him Rocco but then I thought, Mike."
Nadia: "Mike?"
Bob: "You don't like Mike?"
Nadia: "No, Mike is not a great name for a dog. Rocco's better."
Bob: "Right, okay… Is that they named you Nadia after the gymnast?"
Nadia: "Yeah"
Bob: "So you're a gymnast?"
Nadia: "No… Here you do, see, Rocco. See, he likes it."
Bob: "Yeah, I like Mike."

Nadia and Bob discuss names for Bob's rescued dog. He's happy with a basic name like Mike while Nadia urges him to go for something more dog friendly.
You're Going to Give Me Ten
Eric Deeds: "You know what you're going to do. You're going to give me ten."
Bob: "What?"
Eric Deeds: "Ten grand, by tomorrow morning"
Bob: "Whose got ten thousand dollars?"
Eric Deeds: "Come on, listen, you want the dog, you give me ten. It's simple."
Bob: "Listen to me, pal, you can't come walking into people's lives and expecting…"
Eric Deeds: "Listen, listen, just take it easy. Listen to me. That is life. That's what it is. People like me, coming along when you're not looking."

Eric, who has stolen Bob's dog, attempts to extort money out of Bob. Bob doesn't see things quite as simply and is not eager to give this random person a bunch of money he doesn't have.
Some Sins That You Commit That You Can't Come Back From
Bob: "Are you doing something desperate? Are you doing something that we can't clean up this time? There are some sins that you commit that you can't come back from."

Bob asks Cousin Marv what he is planning to deal with the situation. Bob also reminds Cousin Marv that some harsh reactions cannot be taken back.
See Whose Name Is on The Sign
Cousin Marv: "You ever go out in front of the bar and see whose name is on the sign? That's my name, cause I used to own it."
Bob: "He pressed, you blinked, it's over. It's been over for a while now."

As Bob points out, Cousin Marv is living in the past if he thinks he still has a claim over the bar. It was his but isn't anymore and now that's old news.

A Dog's Purpose Movie Quotes,

Sorry, That was the Dog

Ethan: No!
Hannah: Whoa!
Ethan: Sorry, that was the dog. That wasn't me.
Hannah: Maybe you should teach your dog some manners.

At a fair, Bailey takes it upon himself to introduce his human Ethan to a nice young lady, Hannah. While both Ethan and Hannah appear embarrassed by Bailey butting in, Bailey knew exactly what he was doing.

What Does He Want From Me?

Ethan: No!
...
Ethan: Come on, Bailey, do it!
Bailey: What does he want from me?

After Bailey swallows a precious coin young Ethan was playing with, Ethan tries to get Bailey to poop out the coin in these A Dog's Purpose movie quotes. Bailey isn't understanding what Ethan wants, but thinks it's funny either way.

What is the Meaning of Life?

Bailey: What is the meaning of life? Are we here for a reason? Is there a point to any of this? And why does food taste so much better in the trash? This was me, then this was me. I came back as this little guy. A lot of lives for one dog to live. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning. For me, it all began with a boy. His name was Ethan. My name was Bailey, Bailey, Bailey, Bailey. Whenever life got Ethan down, I knew exactly what to do. We played with that ball all afternoon. Ethan loved it. Sometimes he just needed a little nudge. We spent everyday together. As the years went by, I could tell my time with Ethan was coming to an end. And then it happened. I was back. I didn't have a... I'm a girl? I had a new purpose. I was needed again, and again, and again. With each new life I was learning a new lesson. I tried to make sense out of all the things I had seen. Was there a point to this journey of mine? And how did bacon fit in? If I can get you licking and loving, I have my purpose.

Bailey, the dog in the film, explains his life with his beloved human Ethan in this A Dog's Purpose movie quote. When his time with Ethan ends, Bailey learns that he comes back as other dogs, a process that allows him to learn what his purpose as a dog is.

Dogs Don't Laugh

Student: Ethan, why do you always have this dog with you? Is it like a girlfriend replacement or something?
Ethan: The dog's laughing at you!
Student: Dog's don't laugh!
Bailey: That's funny.

When a fellow student rips on Ethan in these A Dog's Purpose movie quotes, Bailey gets revenge by tripping the student. Though the student goes on to say that dogs cannot laugh, Bailey is certainly finding the humor on the situation.

Have We Met Before?

Bailey: Hmmm, have we met before?
Ethan: Where did you find that? Okay, ready? Go!

Many lives after he was first raised with a young Ethan, Bailey reunites with Ethan, who is now an adult. Bailey recognizes Ethan and, by recreating a favorite moment they shared from the past, tries to get Ethan to recognize him too.
